What is Email Address Finder? This unique feature allows you to search popular email services for an available email address to help you determine where the address you want is unregistered. For example, if your business name is "Mike's Boats" and you are looking to create a new business email account, this new tool will allow you to search a number of email services to see if "mikesboats@___.com" is available. |
What does the results mean Once your search has completed, the results page will display which mail providers have your handle available. Some mailservers may already have registered your desired handle. These results will be omitted. The results enable you to know at which servers you can register your handle. However, some may not accept your handle due to certain requirements for handle length and content. |
How to search for Email Addresses Simply type in the handle of the email you wish to register (the part before the @ sign), and our search engine will find the services where that handle is available. In our example, the owner of Mike's Boats might want to register an address with "mikesboats" as the handle because it is easy to remember and gives information about the nature of the email account. |
Tips for finding an available handle If your original search yields no appealing available results, here are a few ways you can modify your search:
Add _ to separate words in a handle ("johnsmith" becomes "john_smith") Make changes to words within the handle ("mikesboats" becomes "mikeboats", "mikesboat",etc.) Change first or last names to initials ("johnsmith" becomes "jsmith","johns","js",etc.) Add a significant number such as the year ("mikesboats" becomes "mikesboats2000") Combine the previous steps ("johnsmith" becomes "j_smith00")
If none of the above methods give you a desired available mailserver, try thinking of another handle for your email address. |
How does Email Address Finder works Once you input the search handle and start your search, our search engine will "ping" (contact) the mailservers of many different email providers (Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc.) and see if your handle is available. With the example of Mike's Boats, the search would see if the address "mikesboats@[the specific mailserver]" is already in use. |
Registering your new email address If your search for an email address yielded results, that doesn't mean that your desired email address is yours. You must register it first. Pick the most desirable available mailserver and go to that site to register your address. Not all mailservers our site searches are free and without conditions. Some providers charge a fee (such as aol.com) and some have other requirements such as signing up for services or purchasing products. Make sure you are aware of any requirements before registering your new email address. |
